Slide gates / penstocks are used to isolate flow in and out of a conduit and are provided with sealing arrangement on 4 sides. These are offered in varied designs and various materials of construction such as Cast Iron / Ductile cast iron / Alloy cast iron with Nickle / Stainless steel / Super Duplex stainless steel / Aluminum / HDPE / FRP / Composite etc to suit the intended application. These can be provided with manual, electric , pneumatic or hydraulic operating systems.
Open channel gates are used to isolate flow in and out of an open channel and are provided with sealing arrangement on 3 sides only with no top sealing arrangement.
Weir gates are downward opening overflow gates and distinct from downward opening sluice gates. These are provided with sealing arrangement on 3 sides and the sealing arrangement ensures continuous sealing on 3 sides ( 2 sides and bottom ) at any extent / position of gate opening allowing water to overflow only from top side. These are used either for (i) decanting of a reservoir or a tank, or (ii) maintain precise level control in a reservoir or a tank, or (iii) to isolate the flow as well as maintain precise level control by providing optional 4th side (top side ) sealing arrangement.
These are offered in varied designs and various materials of construction such as Cast Iron / Ductile cast iron / Alloy cast iron with Nickle / Stainless steel / Super Duplex stainless steel / Aluminum / Composite etc to suit the intended application. These can be provided with manual, electric , pneumatic or hydraulic operating systems.
Flap gates are used as an efficient backflow prevention solution in most free discharge applications. These are used for automatic drainage from outfall structures to river , estuaries and sea and for preventing reverse flow flood / tide from river, estuary and sea to plant. These are gravity operated and need minimal water pressure for operation. The flap opens when the head in pipe or conduit exceeds 0.2 feet above the head in the receiving body of water. The flap closes when the head in the receiving body of water exceeds the head in the pipe or the conduit. When fully open the flap gate offers a very low head loss. These are offered in varied designs and various materials of construction such as Cast Iron / Ductile cast iron / Stainless steel / Super Duplex stainless steel / HDPE / Composite etc to suit the intended application.
Multipiece stoplogs are used instead of single piece stoplogs when there is a weight and height restriction in handling. Stoplogs are used for isolation application in open channel where (i) immediate closure or isolation of waterway opening in a short time is not required (ii) isolation requirement is infrequent and (iii) more than one person is available for operation. Stoplogs are suitable for insertion in multiple frames installed at different locations provided the stoplogs and the frame are of the same width.
These are offered in varied designs and various materials of construction such as Aluminum / Stainless steel / Composite etc to suit the intended application. These can be provided with automatically engaging lifting beam so as to be lifted using manual or electric hoisting mechanism.
