Weir gates are downward opening overflow gates and distinct from downward opening sluice gates. These are provided with sealing arrangement on 3 sides and the sealing arrangement ensures continuous sealing on 3 sides ( 2 sides and bottom ) at any extent / position of gate opening allowing water to overflow only from top side. These are used either for (i) decanting of a reservoir or a tank, or (ii) maintain precise level control in a reservoir or a tank, or (iii) to isolate the flow as well as maintain precise level control by providing optional 4th side (top side ) sealing arrangement.
These are offered in varied designs and various materials of construction such as Cast Iron / Ductile cast iron / Alloy cast iron with Nickle / Stainless steel / Super Duplex stainless steel / Aluminum / Composite etc to suit the intended application. These can be provided with manual, electric , pneumatic or hydraulic operating systems.
SERIES : A-301 – CAST IRON WEIR GATES
- Opening Size range: 300×300 mm to 300×5000 mm Higher sizes on request
- Head Range: Unseating head equal to the height of slide due to 3 side sealing arrangement.
- Applicable Standards: AWWA C560 / BS 7775 / IS 13349
- Mounting: Face Wall Anchored
- Sealing system: Resilient Sealing System (PRESS-ON™)
SERIES : A-114 – STAINLESS STEEL WEIR GATES
- Opening Size range: 500×500 mm to 3000×3000 mm Higher sizes on request
- Head Range: Unseating head equal to the height of slide due to 3 side sealing arrangement.
- Applicable Standards: AWWA C560 / BS 7775 / IS 13349
- Mounting: Face Wall Anchored
- Sealing system: HARSA™ Rigid sealing system / PRESS-ON™ Resilient Sealing System.
