Waterfront recognises its responsibilities both legally and morally for the health, safety and welfare of all employees and others that may be affected by operations. All operations are to be carried out in compliance with the “Health and Safety at Work Act 1974” and all subsequent relevant and/or applicable legislation and regulations.
The Health and Safety Policy is designed to ensure safe working conditions with a clear definition of responsibilities at all levels and provision of appropriate information and training. Ultimate responsibility for this policy is accepted by Neil Betteridge, Managing Director. This is supported by regular reviews of company Health and Safety Policy combined with employee consultation.
It is Waterfronts policy to do all that is reasonably practicable to prevent personal injury and property damage from all foreseeable hazards. The requirement for good working practices and a method statement/risk assessment approach in accordance with the “Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999” is essential in today’s workplace. Waterfront recognises this and site specific health and safety documents are made available to all involved parties as and when required.
It is a mutual objective of Waterfront and its employees to aim for continuous improvement in health and safety performance and everyone is expected to give their full co-operation to meet these aims.
Scheduled site audits are performed by our Quality department to ensure that all areas of the business conform to the Health and Safety Procedures. The company Health and Safety Policy document in full is available to all concerned from Waterfront.
